One solution could be to hire a publicist. What do you need to do before working with a publicist? In this workshop, PR veteran, book publicist, and author Cherrie Woods will share six things authors need to know to answer that question.

All authors need to have a public relations (PR) Toolkit. This micro-workshop will familiarize authors with the four toolkit components: headshot, book cover, bio, and book synopsis. (1 hr.)s)


Are You Publicist Ready? ( 2 options: for authors/for small businesses)

When an author decides to work with a publicist, they have two tasks - finding one that will work for a singular author and being prepared to work with a publicist. What does “prepared” look like? This workshop will share 6 things authors need to do to be prepared to work with a publicist. (1 hr.)


Promote Your Own Book (for authors)

This interactive workshop will share relevant and practical PR strategies to help authors develop a public profile for themselves and their books, and ultimately, increase sales. (90 mins.)


15 Minutes of Fame (for authors/for small businesses)

Attendees will learn how to create a media plan that will help you successfully get coverage from media outlets offline and online. (2 hrs.)
