Promoting Your Own Book I (For Writers/Authors at All Stages in the Writing Process)

With over 750,000 books being published each year in the U.S. and over half of them by self-published authors, how does an author stand out above the rest? This workshop teaches authors how to choose the right book cover, develop a strong "Author PR Toolkit" (headshot, bio, book synopsis, and website),  what type of online presence authors need to have and where to sell their books. (90 mins.)

Promoting Your Own Book II (For Authors with a Published Book)

Attend this workshop to learn public relations PR strategies to increase your book sales. Topics include: how to get local media coverage, where to look for reading opportunities, how to develop/strengthen your brand and how to develop a strong author platform. Attendees are encouraged to bring a printed copy of their book. (3 hrs.)

PR for Creatives (can be customized for specific entrepreneurs)

Creative entrepreneurship is the practice of setting up a business – or setting yourself up as self-employed in one of the creative industries. Essentially, creative entrepreneurs are investors in talent – their own or other people’s. - Wikipedia

This 3-hour workshop will give creative entrepreneurs insight into the world of public relations (PR). The workshop will focus on empowering attendees to build businesses that are balanced, productive and sustainable utilizing best PR practices.
